Although there have been some outstanding figures connected to this choir, far too many to mention, they have all done it for the love of music. Many members have died in service and some will remain in service until they can no longer, for whatever reason.
Members have ranged in length of service from one year up to in excess of sixty years. Long term members still serving include, Mr. Jack Clennell with an excess of 58 years and Mr Fred Brady with 56 years. Mrs Irene Hill has 52 years as accompanist, then Mr Frank Cook with 47years. Mr Harry Hazeldine and Mr Michael McGrevy have both served for 46 years. The present membership have accumulated 929 years service between them, an average of just over 23 years each.

Through the years the choir has earned a reputation that is the envy of many fine male voice choirs. A reputation for really fine singing, good sportsmanship and always being willing to help charitable, religious and other organisations. This reputation has not been gained by one man alone, but the choir as a whole, by each individual member realising his responsibilities, by a great deal of hard work and sacrifice by past and present members. The choir and its reputation are something we should all be proud of.

We would also like to pay tribute to all those who have helped the choir in any way, shape or form, of whom there have been many, turning up regularly to collect funds, sell merchandise, supply refreshments or
help sort music.
No matter how small or insignificant a job may seem, they all need doing and are as important as any other, we thank them all for helping and allowing the singing members that extra time for singing.
